3-D Eid Gift Wrap

Eid al-Fitr is about the spirit of giving. Save this gift-wapping idea for family and friends, or even a Secret Eidi exchange. The mosque motif on these presents can be regarded as a nod to Eid prayers that happen in the morning.

This idea comes from our friend Manal Aman of Hello Holy Days! The printable template includes a round dome and curved dome in both large and small sizes to accomodate a gift box of almost any size.

What You'll Need

Materials

  • Yellow honeycomb paper
  • Cardstock in purple, yellow, blue, and pink
  • Gift-Wrap Template
  • Gold striped scrapbook paper
  • Gold washi tape
  • Purple gift wrapping paper
  • Star confetti
  • Glue
  • Double-sided tape
  • Scissors

Instructions

    Wrap gifts in purple gift-wrapping paper.

  2. Print the template to trace out half a dome onto the honeycomb paper; cut out.

  3. Cut out a rectangle from the cardstock paper; this will be the base structure of the mosque topper.

  4. Expand honeycomb paper to form dome shape. Secure to gift box with double-sided tape.

  5. Trace minaret from template onto cardstock paper; add to mosque topper.

  6. Cut out a door from cardstock and paste. Embellish with washi tape and stars.
