Eid al-Fitr Hanging Paper Lanterns

Hosting friends and family for Eid al-Fitr? Set the table with these hanging honeycomb lanterns and they'll say, "Wow!"

This idea comes from our friend Manal Aman of Hello Holy Days. "Adding ribbon to honeycomb decorations helps them look like lanterns," she says. Pictured here, the lanterns are differently shaped for added dimension.

What You'll Need

Materials

11-inch Honeycomb ornament decorations, $19 for 12, devraparty.com
10-inch Honeycomb ornament decorations, $17 for 12, devraparty.com
Gold ribbon
Hot glue gun
Scissors

Instructions

Assemble honeycomb decorations according to package instructions.
Encircle ribbon around the circumference of the lantern, cut with scissors, and secure with hot glue. The shape of the lantern will make the ribbon stay in place, so you don't need to glue the entire length of ribbon to the paper.
Hang to display lanterns.
