On Friday night, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez revealed that they are officially engaged. The announcement came days after the actress and singer was spotted wearing a stunning green bauble on her left ring finger, which she confirmed in her newsletter, On the JLo, as an engagement ring. Since her post, fans have been kept in the dark about the details of the proposal—but Lopez is now finally sharing how the tearful moment went down.

In the latest edition of her newsletter, Lopez shared that Affleck popped the question while she was practicing one of her favorite self-care rituals—taking a bubble bath. "I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years, this was happening all over again. I was quite literally speechless and he said, Iis that a yes?' I said YES of course that's a YES."

While Lopez notes that the proposal wasn't anything "fancy at all," she says it was "the most romantic thing I could've ever imagined...just a quiet Saturday night at home." After detailing the intimate moment between the two actors, Lopez added that she and her soon-to-be husband are "two very lucky people," who she says "got a second chance at true love." The bride-to-be also took time in her newsletter to reference her green diamond engagement ring, which Lopez has a special connection to. "Green has always been my lucky color and now, for sure, it always will be," she wrote.

This will be the couple's second engagement. The two stars previously dated in the early 2000s, and got engaged in November 2002, but ultimately decided to call their union off about one year later. Now, it seems the duo will finally get their happily ever after. "We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things," Lopez told People earlier this year.
