"Jeopardy!" Champion Amy Schneider Is Engaged!

The game show contestant announced the exciting news on Twitter with a photo of her and her now-fiancée, Genevieve Davis, wearing their engagement rings.

Jeopardy! champion Amy Schneider is celebrating one of the proudest moments in her life with her partner, Genevieve Davis. The show's contestant, who won 40 consecutive games, announced her engagement to her now-fiancée on Twitter with a photo of the duo wearing their engagement rings. "I have an announcement: Genevieve is no longer my girlfriend… she's my fiancée!!! I couldn't be happier or more proud to spend my life with the very best person in the entire world," Schneider wrote.

The pair met nearly two years ago through a mutual friend. "In the summer of 2020, my friend was hanging out at my apartment, talking on the phone to her boyfriend, and somehow or other she wound up inviting her boyfriend's sister over to my place, to give her a ride somewhere," Schneider previously noted in a Twitter thread. "That sister turned out to be Genevieve."

During her time on Jeopardy!, Schneider made subtle nods to her loving relationship with Davis. She wore a pearl necklace that Davis gave her as a birthday gift after they started dating. "[Being on Jeopardy!] was the first significant time I'd spent apart from her since we'd started dating," Schneider previously told USA Today. "And so having that was just a nice, just sort of comforting reminder that, that she was at home waiting for me."

After making history as the winningest female Jeopardy! champion, earning over $1 million, and becoming the first transgender contestant on the show's Tournament of Champions, Schneider told People that it's been great "to be making an impact" through the show—and she that she and Davis plan to vacation abroad and more with the earnings. "We're going to take a trip to Ireland and we're thinking about where else we might go with it," she said. "And buying some fancy designer clothes I think is definitely, definitely on the list."
