Speedy Barbecue Sauce

This tangy homemade barbecue sauce takes just 20 minutes from start to finish. Use it to baste your favorite 'cue on the grill, or try it in these delicious plant-based pulled mushroom sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • ¼ cup apple-cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons light-brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook, covered and stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 10 minutes. Sauce can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 1 week.
