We're of the opinion that wedding bands and engagement rings look best on left ring fingers, but we also know that the special pieces of jewelry can't always be on worn. For the times when they can't, display or store them in the next best thing: a suitable ring box. We've rounded up some of our favorite stylish, practical, and unique vessels for brides and grooms.

There are a few key situations when ring boxes come in handy; the first is the engagement. Whoever's popping the question needs a place to safety stow the proposal piece, and ideally, it's something discreet. In turn, we've featured a few slim ring cases that fit well in pockets—or in one case, a special sock designed specifically for the occasion.

The wedding day also calls for some sort of ring storage. After all, you'll have to transport the wedding bands to your venue. Then, you may want your ring bearer to forgo a traditional ring pillow and carry the jewelry in something more creative, like a customized ring box.
