The holiday season wouldn't be complete without decking the halls with boughs of holly, stockings, and, of course, wreaths. The Christmas motif brings cheer to both the exterior and interior of your home, whether it's hung from windows and doors or displayed above your mantel.
The only downside to wreaths is that they can often be clunky to store in the off-season. But with some innovative storage solutions, you'll be able to keep the evergreens safe from dust and pests while still ensuring they're conveniently tucked away.
While some of the expert-recommended options below will keep your festive pieces safe from damage, others will help you store them in the correct way. "Place wreaths on simple 's' hooks or a coat hanger and hang in the back of a closet or on a tension rod," says Laura Nicosia, owner and designer at ShelfGenie of San Antonio, a Neighborly company. "Another idea is to make use of the space under your stairs. With pull-out shelves or stacking containers and a bit of creativity, you'd be surprised how much you can store there."

Poetiske Screw in Ladder Hooks
These screw hooks can be installed on the ceiling of your garage or attic for out-of-the-way storage. "Wreaths are often switched out and stored most of the year," says Amy Tokos, productivity and organizing expert. "I like high hooks from either attic, garage, or basement rafters. This keeps them up and out of the way."
Cinpiuk Clear Wreath Storage Bag
If hanging your wreath from the ceiling or wall isn't an option, consider a storage bag, instead. This one can hold up to a 30-inch sized hoop. "[Placing] the wreaths in bags will keep them from getting dusty," says Tokos. "These clear bags are nice because they have handles to hang them from and you can also see the contents."
M Design Holiday Wreath Storage Bag With Handles
Looking for something a bit more stylish? This bag boasts a chic black-and-white gingham print and can fit up to a 36-inch wreath. It's made of breathable non-woven synthetic fabric that can be quickly cleaned with a damp cloth.
IRIS USA Wreath Storage Container, 2-Pack
This heavy duty storage box set protects against damage and dust. With six latches to keep each case securely closed and a molded handle for easy portability, the pieces have everything you need to keep multiple wreaths safe after the holiday season.
The Container Store Double Wreath Storage Bag
Storing multiple wreaths can quickly take up space in your garage, shed, or attic. This double-duty system provides an easy solution. "You're able to store a couple wreaths together to maximize space and protect them from dust and other elements at the same time," says Malaika Lubega, professional organizer and the owner of Huza Home Concepts.
Veno Over-Sized Clear Organizer Storage Bag, 5-Pack
Make it easier to track down your wreaths next season by opting for clear storage bags. This pack of five has a transparent design for conveniently viewing its stored contents. Plus, each bag has a handle, so you can keep them in your garage or attic without taking up floor space.
Honey-Can-Do Holiday Wreath Storage Bag
The clear view panel on this no-frills option makes it easy to see what's stored inside, while the study zipper keeps out dust and moisture. "I love these simple, inexpensive storage bags from Target that are great for preserving your wreaths and maximizing your space," says Lubega.
Tidy & Co. Multi-Purpose Wreath and Garland Storage Set
Keep your holiday foliage conveniently stowed away until next year with this set, which is available in eight different colorways. "One of my favorite multiple wreath storage bins is actually intended for garlands, but I love to use it to store several wreaths that have adornments. When the bin is not in use, it collapses nicely and can be tucked away while the wreaths are displayed," says Lubega.
IRIS USA Under Bed Storage Container
Don't have room in your garage or attic for more holiday décor? Make use of the space under your bed with these stackable containers. "Clear storage boxes, such as these from Amazon, allow you to see what's inside. They are perfect for under the bed or for stacking on a shelf in your storage room," Lubega says.
